Hello world!

Welcome,

Health, Wellness & Lifestyle are things we all sometimes take for granted.  I am very fortunate that I have been able to have a somewhat “normal” life, and have also had the opportunity to continue further growth and personal development in areas that I am passionate about. When I think back to the times when I have been the most personally and professionally satisfied, it always brings me back to those special moments when you have been able to touch someones life in some way. ( I know this sounds like a cliche)

A very special friend a few months ago introduced me to not only a business opportunity, but an opportunity whereby I could also affect and continually give back not only to an individual, but to an entire community. This opportunity was with a purpose marketing organisation called  Trivani International who utilise leverage network marketing to provide continual and ongoing support for Child and community sponsorship.

I have been with another network marketing organisation previously, but the philosophy and Vision of  Trivani International was something I did not have to think about, and jumped at in a heart beat to become a proud child guardian independent distributor.

This now leads me to my personal quest, and I decided to start this my very first blog with the name HWL Global “Matters”. HWL is Health, Wellness & Lifestyle, and globally children and community should matter to everyone.

This blog is now a voice for HWL Group members and associates to share their experiences and to also acknowledge the impact they have been able to contribute to a child’s life, or the lifestyle of a village through a simple act of changing brands of their personal care products.

Myself and my committed group members,  have taken on the mission of sponsoring 100,000 children in third world countries by virtue of the Trivani system.

I am so proud to be joined with and part of Trivani Master – Tetsu Shibatomi  team and I look forward to not only sharing our Trivani Sponsorship experiences with you, but also sharing key Health, Wellness & Lifestyle information with you in the future .

Have you sponsored your Trivani Child Yet ?

I speak to and listen to so many peope everyday and most have the same whinge in common. What is that you ask ? You may have heard it before or not? These people believe that everyone except themselves owes them a future. I know this will ruffle a few feathers, but the only one that owes you is YOU yourself. No one is in control of your life, you make the decisions and you reap the rewards of those decisions.

I have made many decisions in the past, some were fantastic, some were not so great, but all have lead me to where I am today.

I have the opportunity that was given to me with great love and friendship, an opportunity to not only help myself financially but to also use this gift to help others build better lives.

This was my greatest decision. I offer this opportunity to YOU.

I ask you to join with me if you are  passionate about creating a united group of people who wish to help themselves first, and by doing this, we then get to help many hundreds of thousands around the world. I ask you to join my Trivani Humanitarian Global team and share this opportunity and what Trivani can bring to so many lives.

Please don’t hesitate, contact me and lets start building a great Trivani future together for you and your friends and family and many children and families around the world. Global opportunity is at your fingertips, all you need to do is make a decision and it does not cost anything to join. www.hwlglobalpurpose.com

parabens and phthalates

The following question was recently asked on the Trivani ask the expert page, and I believe it to be invaluable to anyone who cares for their health and that of their friends and family’s.

Can you please explain why parabens and phthalates can be so bad for the body and children in particular and how Trivani products lead the way in the industry without these potentially harmful substances?

Answer #1: Parabens

Parabens commonly used in personal care products as preservatives are weak environmental estrogens. They can also support the growth of estrogen-dependent breast cancer cells grown in tissue culture (Byford et al., J. Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, 80(1):49-60, 2002; Gomez et al., J. of Toxicology and Environmental Health, Part A, 68:239-251, 2005).

Both in vitro and in vivo studies conclusively establish that parabens are able to penetrate human skin intact and have also been isolated from human breast cancer tissue.

Parabens have also been identified as being endocrine disrupting substances (EDS). While animal studies reveal EDS to adversely affect male reproductive systems, it is adolescent females that are most at risk. Young women are exposed to parabens more frequently than males due to their higher rate of use of cosmetic products. Health risks to adolescents using products containing EDS is many times higher than for adults because young people’s biologies are under constant change and are more susceptible to the adverse effects of EDS.

Answer #2: Phthalates

Phthalates are used to make plastics flexible and sometimes used to stabilize fragrances. People come into contact with phthalates every day. Look at the bottom of your water bottle. If it has the letters PET or PETE or PETG then you’re holding plastic containing phthalates. PET is an acronym for Polyethylene Terephthalate. Many fingernail products contain phthalates, as well as many packages containing products that we either ingest or apply to our bodies.

The problem with phthalates is similar to parabens with the exception that males are more affected with issues such as low sperm count, testicular cancer, and genital deformities.

Fortunately, there is no reason today why parabens or phthalates need be used in our consumable products. Preservatives are a necessary safety feature for topical products meant to be used over a lengthy period of time, but there are many effective alternatives available today. They are a little more expensive, but the added cost is worth the safety.
Word of Caution: even though parabens may not appear on a product’s ingredient listing, they may still be in the product. Many ingredients used to make creams, lotions, gels, etc. use parabens as preservatives, but because they are a part of the ingredient they are, under U.S. FDA definitions, considered processing aids and are not required to be listed in the ingredient panel. Many countries follow this rule.

Regarding phthalates, Trivani avoids these by using HDPE (high density polyethylene) and LDPE (low density polyethylene) for its topical products and glass for liquid supplements.

Many people are calling this economic slow-down a crisis, but with Trivani it is an opportunity to build a business and help children at the same time.

Trivani’s purpose marketing is a high-paying, recession-proof, humanitarian business. Trivani’s philosophy is to “do no harm” and is a Signer of the Compact for Safe Cosmetics, which lists companies who have pledged to not use chemicals that are known or strongly suspected of causing cancer, mutation or birth defects in their products. I encourage you to go to SafeCosmetics.org and find out what is in your personal care products and see how toxic they are to your body and your children’s.

Cancer statistics today are appalling; 1 in 2 men, and 1 in 3 women will develop some form of cancer in their lifetime. And the cancer rate is increasing with each generation. Though steps are being made to come closer to cure cancer, wouldn’t it be better to try and prevent it in the first place?
Trivani’s incredible compensation plan has payouts at the top of the industry, helping to generate vast funds for humanitarian projects across the globe.

Below is an excerpt from a news report that has hit headlines today.
Finally some of the experts are catching on to what we have all known for a long time.

January 11, 2009, 6:49 am
From aapt latest news and Sunday Herald Newspaper

Health experts have warned that mouthwashes containing alcohol can cause cancer and should be removed from supermarket shelves.
News Ltd says leading independent experts issued the warning after investigating the latest scientific evidence linking alcohol-containing mouthwashes to the deadly disease.
Their review, published in the Dental Journal of Australia, concludes there is now “sufficient evidence” that “alcohol-containing mouthwashes contribute to the increased risk of development of oral cancer”.
The ethanol in mouthwash is thought to allow cancer-causing substances to permeate the lining of the mouth more easily and cause harm.
Acetaldehyde, a toxic by-product of alcohol that may accumulate in the oral cavity when swished around the mouth, is also believed to be carcinogenic.
Mouthwash is one of the fastest-growing grocery products in Australia, with the category now worth more than $75 million, according to latest Nielsen market research.
Lead review author Professor Michael McCullough, associate professor of oral medicine at the University of Melbourne , told News Ltd that alcohol-containing mouthwash should be reclassified as prescription-only and carry written health warnings.

Now is the time to switch brands and heed the warnings of the experts.

The brand I use which is Trivani maintains the philosophy is to “do no harm” and they are a Signer of the Compact for Safe Cosmetics, which lists companies who have pledged to not use chemicals that are known or strongly suspected of causing cancer, mutation or birth defects in their products.
Please have a look at Trivani Products on my website www.hwlgobalpurpose.com and choose better health for you and your family.

DID YOU KNOW

Many consumers are unaware of the potentially carcinogenic or toxic chemicals found in the products they use on a daily basis. Take toothpaste, for instance. If you use a major brand of toothpaste, you may have noticed that the label includes not only the phone number for Poison Control but also cautions against toothpaste use for children under age 6.  This warning is even on children’s toothpaste, even though it is covered with cartoon characters that are obviously targeted at children younger than 6!

Many other products you own and use can be just as dangerous.  But is there a safer alternative?  There is.  Trivani™ can provide you with a safe and effective substitute to potentially hazardous products.

Each of  Trivani’s product lines are designed to avoid known harmful chemicals by substituting them with only the best ingredients.

Gillian

Well, here we are in 2009,  I was driving along today listening to my Trivani podcasts & trainings when suddenly I got hit by the “Frog” (my own procrastination).

It suddenly hit me like a bolt of lightning, that what I have been doing, and meaning well to do the right thing, has always been placing the focus on others first.  I was not listening to a golden rule I was once taught, which is help yourself first, then you will be in a better position to give abundance to others.

Of course this does not mean I will not assist people but rather, I need to cross off my action list, and whilst doing so, lead the way for others to do the same. It sounds so simple, yet when it comes to doing it ourselves, I have always given 100% to others and not to committing to myself.

During one of the trainings they spoke about knowing your WHY, and why you do what you are doing. Your why does not have to be huge, or be humanitarian focused, or make you feel that “you should”, your why is personal to you and you only.   I sometimes feel that my why is much bigger than what I can handle at this time, and that it will never eventuate, and that I will let people down, but then as I said above, if I stopped procrastinating, and re focused and stopped worrying about the “How”, and what other people think, then my why will start to manifest. Yes it is scary, and yes I am sure there will be many second thoughts, but if I think about what would happen if I do not achieve my “Why”, then this is unthinkable and puts everything into perspective.
So after my ramblings above, it is time to “Stop the procrastination” and take action. It is time for me to start eating my frog each day at a time. It is time for me to put everything I know and have taught others into action for myself. It is time NOW for HWL Global Enterprises to share with the world the story, the benefits and rewards that Trivani Child Sponsorship and Trivani donations can do to change someone else’s life including their own.
Please join with me and EAT YOUR FROG and thanks for listening.
